Trinity – Is it in the Bible?

There is much doctrination over the concept of TRINITY, the statement God is one but made up of three persons: Father, Son, and Spirit. There are several places in the Bible where God is described and defined for us. Do these plainly explain to us the nature of God and how we should define Him…Them?

This is by no means an exhaustive review of the subject. This workup is intended to define the basic theological statements and the Bible from where the terminology is developed. On this first go-through, we will focus on key statements.

Nu, so where in the Bible is the Trinity defined and explained? There is NO plain statement in the Bible that identifies what is a Trinity and why it is so important. Given the severity placed on people who don’t agree with Trinitarian belief, one would expect plenty of plain statements in the Bible to detail and explain Trinity.

What the Bible provides is a description of a relationship between aspects of the One God. Since the Father, Yeshua, and Spirit are all called God in the Bible, we should accept that even if we cannot fully define every detail in every Biblical citation. The statements are true, even if they are not fully explained to our satisfaction.
